The A1 highway in Botswana is a road connecting Ramokgwebana (near the border with Zimbabwe), passing through Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana, then Ramatlabama at the border with South Africa and continuing as the South African N18 to Mafikeng.
Decisions were made to install a toll point along that road in 2007[1].
A section of the highway between Phakalane and Gaborone is used for the Gaborone City Marathon.[2]
